Martinez ordained as the first deacon

June 26, Alexander Martinez was ordained by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge and became the first decon permanently appinted at Saint Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lumberton. Dot and Tony Cabral Scholarship Fund

Recently, three young parishioners of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church received help in their quest for higher education. Alexandra Dolsman, Chelsey Gibson, and Michael Coleman were awarded grants from the Dot and Tony Cabral Scholarship Fund. The fund is administered by the local council of the Knights of Columbus.
